INFORMED CONSENT & PRIVACY
As a counsellor it is my responsibility to treat the information you share with me with confidentiality.
This means your information is not disclosed without your permission except when there is a serious risk to you or others, or there has been a court subpoena for session notes.

Notes are part of professional practice in counselling and assist in achieving goals or exploring themes.
In accordance with privacy regulations, you have the right to access your session notes or request a copy if desired.
These notes are retained and deleted in compliance with the Privacy Act 1993 and the Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996. This ensures that your personal information is handled responsibly and in line with legal requirements.

ETHICS IN ACTION:
I am a registered member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors: Te Roopu Kaiwhiriwhiri o Aotearoa. (registration #12193). As such I work within the NZAC Code of Ethics.
It is expected for counsellors to work with a supervisor - this practice is in action for Omaio Counselling.
If you, or someone close to you is in imminent harm, we will work together to formulate a safety plan together which may include invitation to help from other agencies or support networks.

FEES
Individual: $100NZD per 50 minute session.
In person or virtual

PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS
Payment is expected in full within 48 hours of each session on receipt of invoice, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Internet banking is accepted .
Invoices to third parties can be provided with prior arrangement.
A fee of $50 is charged if a cancellation is made with less than 24hours notice. The cancellations allow other people access to appointments.
Cancellations need to be made 24 hours prior to an appointment preferably via email or text.
